The method

Real change goes through the body.

You can understand exactly what needs to change and still repeat the same patterns. Body First turns that understanding into something you can practice, embody and increasingly rely on when it matters.

Why the body

You don't think your way to steadiness. You embody it.

You can understand exactly what's happening to you and still keep running the same patterns. Under pressure, what takes over isn't what you know, it's what's actually integrated. That's why this work goes through the body too.

How it works

Understanding isn't enough. You have to practice it.

My work combines coaching and body work. Depending on the person and what's going on, I draw on breath, meditation, Qi Gong, yoga, movement, nervous-system work and practices from the martial arts. The goal isn't to get better at yoga, Qi Gong or meditation: it's to use these practices to change how you operate when it truly counts.

We name what's happening: where you freeze, where you run, where you collapse, where you over-adapt or lose your structure. Then we work on it concretely, in the body, in your habits and in your life: relationships, work, discipline, boundaries and decisions.

What it changes

So that what you know becomes what you do.

The result I'm after isn't for you to understand more. It's for you to stay present under pressure, hold your boundaries without collapsing, keep your commitments without forcing yourself, and come back to yourself faster when you drift. Until what used to take effort gradually becomes a new baseline.

Body First

The four pillars

Body First is my method, not coaching with some body work bolted on. The work is making change increasingly available in your body and your reactions — especially when pressure rises. These four pillars are its structure.

Awareness

Awareness

Spotting what's happening in your body before you tip into excess, flight or collapse.

Regulation

Regulation

Building the capacity to regulate your state and stay present when pressure rises.

Embodiment

Embodiment

Bringing down into the body what the mind already knows, until it holds without thinking about it.

Integration

Integration

Anchoring this work in real life: relationships, work, discipline, decisions.
